Zak Hennessey is the owner of the Denver Entertainment Art & Design Academy (D.E.A.D. Academy). He has worked with clients such as Disney, Warner Brothers, Sony, Paramount, Showtime, and many others while in Los Angeles. His art has appeared in comic books, role playing games, movies, and video games. He has also owned a comic book publishing company and was the primary artist at a Denver based movie production studio through two movies.

Tess Laeh is perhaps best known as a contestant on the 6th season of Face Off. She graduated from the Tom Savini School of Makeup FX (2012) with the Savini Award of Excellence for finishing at the top of her class. She has worked in the FX industry for close to 8 years, on both independent films, and the hit SyFy series ZNation. She is the owner of Bizarre Bazaar, a business that creates and sells props and makeup for conventions and events. She will now be sharing her knowledge with students of the D.E.A.D. Academy, while continuing to work on top tier entertainment productions and her business.

Brandon Hovet is the owner of Worped Studios. He is an illustrator, creature designer, sculptor, and airbrush technician. He has worked in the FX industry with Distortions Unlimited and LaFond FX, and has created props for numerous haunted attractions. His comic book credits include IDW’s 30 Days of Night and Imperium Comics’ Trailer Park of Terror.

Heathyrre Kautz is a Denver based makeup artist with 20 years of experience in the industry, specializing in beauty/fashion makeup for independent and industrial film, commercial, editorial, and special events. She has worked for MAC, Shu Uemura, Vincent Longo, Smashbox, Giorgio Armani, and Nars. She has also worked with the cast of the Broadway musical "Wicked," the band "Jane's Addiction," and the Emmy Award winning actress Linda Dano.
